How can the integration of business processes be mapped in SAP S/4HANA?
“In order to get an answer to this question and to support our customers to be able to implement the above mentioned benefits, I participated in the SAP certification course “Integrated Business Processes in SAP S/4HANA”.
The 10-day certification course provides an exciting, comprehensive look at how SAP S/4HANA works and covers many different topics, including SAP Fiori UX, financial accounting, internal accounting, procurement, warehouse management, and manufacturing. The main focus is on the integration of the various components. For example, employees and their data can be managed in the Human Capital Management module, while in another module they can be assigned to production orders on the basis of their stored roles. or project activities can be scheduled.
For industrial companies, the production of a product can be completely traced from the purchase requisition to the production order to the accounting document. This transparency can only be achieved by fully integrating the individual modules.
The same applies in the banking and insurance environment: Business (partner) data is required across the entire supply chain to ensure, among other things, cut-off date valuation, accounting, reporting and regulatory reporting.”
What added value does certification enable me to achieve in my daily work?
“In my current customer projects, I deal with process analysis and subsequent process optimization and automation, among other things. Here in particular, the integration of different components and interlocked processes plays an important role.
The holistic understanding of processes covered in the certification enables me to optimize and automate our customers’ processes in an even more targeted manner, with a particular focus on integration with other solution components.”
What is the relationship between integrated business processes and process optimization?
Because we at ADWEKO know the potential of process optimization, we have established our own topic group in which we develop solution-oriented approaches and use cases in internal and external projects.
In order to successfully optimize processes in a targeted manner, a deep and detailed understanding of processes is essential. Although we mainly focus on processes in the finance department, data and processes from other departments play an important role and need to be integrated into the processes. Against this background, the course was a valuable addition, especially because the theoretical content was supplemented by practical exercises.
More and more companies are facing the challenge of a transformation to SAP S/HANA. The certification as “SAP Certified Application Associate – Business Process Integration with SAP S/4HANA” enables me to support our customers during implementation and integration, always taking into account process optimization potentials.
